Tuesday Tip: Why Your Business Location Matters
It’s time for another Tuesday Tip! Today, we’re talking about why your business location is important!
You can watch our video here!
There are three main reasons for why the location of your business matters: visibility, easy access, and being near your target market. These three factors can make or break your business.
Business Location Visibility
If your business’s location is visible from busy roads and intersections, then thousands of people are seeing it every day! This gives your business great exposure. With the right signage, your business’s location can double as a marketing tool. Instead of purchasing a roadside sign, your actual business acts like that sign. If your location isn’t visible enough, invest in a lighted sign that will let customers know where you are.
Business Location Access
In a world of instant gratification, having customers be able to access your business quickly and easily is super important. If your location is difficult to find, there’s a good chance that customers will go elsewhere. Check to see what major streets your business is near. If your business is located on a winding road or far away from any major crossroads, you may want to look for a new location.
Being Near Your Target Market
Your target market is the ideal group of people you want as customers. Being near them means more business. For example, if you sell baby clothing, you probably want to be located in a busy mall instead of next to a retirement community. If your business isn’t located near anyone who could use it, consider moving somewhere else. Customers rarely go out of their way to find a business. Similarly, customers that aren’t your target market rarely make your business successful.
