Why Schedule Social Media Posts?
Did you know that when you post to social media is super important? Posting to social media at the best times means that more of your followers will see it and engage with it. The best way to ensure that your content is seen by the most people is to schedule social media posts ahead of time. This can be a difficult task if you don’t know what you’re doing. Luckily, websites like Facebook and Instagram have tools to help you find out the best times to schedule social media posts.
Scheduling On FaceBook And Instagram
If you want to know when to schedule social media posts for your business, take advantage of the tools given to you by Facebook and Instagram. First, you’ll need a Facebook Page or Instagram Business Profile. These special features are only offered on these types of accounts. Then, check the Insights pages to see when your followers are online. On Facebook, the Insights page appears at the top of your page, next to your Inbox and Notifications. On Instagram, your Insights can be found by clicking the bar graph icon on your profile.
As a general rule, posting at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm are the best posting times. At 9:00 am, people on the west coast are checking social media one last time before they start work, and people on the east coast are checking social media as they go to lunch. At 2:00 pm, people on the west coast are checking social media one last time before they come back from lunch, and people on the east coast are check social media as they get off work. Posting at these times means that more people will see your content.
However, don’t rely solely on these times as being the best times for you. Be sure to check your Insights pages for the best posting times for your business. If you’re a local store, you may find that your traffic peaks after school in your own time zone. If you’re an e-commerce site, you may find that you have a lot of customers in Europe, who are several hours ahead of you.
After Seeing Your Insights
When you look at your Insights, you’ll probably see what looks like a bell curve. While it may be tempting to post right at the peak of the curve, don’t! Try posting just as the bell curve starts to increase. Posting just before everyone goes online will help more people see your content throughout the day instead of just within the hour that you post it.
