Tuesday Tip: Deciding What to Post

It’s time for another Tuesday Tip! This week learn some helpful tips and techniques to keep in mind when deciding what to post.

You can watch our video here!

Target Audience

First, consider your target audience. You want to make sure the content you are presenting pertains to them! For example, it is pointless to present content for healthcare when your target market is aimed toward a younger audience, who more than likely don’t pay for their own healthcare.

Keep your content interesting. Your viewers are going to want to see consistent content that is always keeping them up-to-date with your company. Do not over-post (meaning posting more than 3x per day, every day); this is excessive marketing and makes your brand come off as needy/unorganized. If you find your company posting more frequently than others, examine why that is. Are your competitors doing the same? Or doing something different? It is important that you ask yourself these questions so your social media platforms don’t get skimmed over.

Engagement

Decide on content that you feel will engage with the most customers. Do so by examining your market, location, audience, and competition. Take notes from your analytics and use them to your benefit. Once you use your analytics to evaluate the success of each of your posts, you will be able to start gaining more of a following.

If one post does better than another, examine what is different about the content and then aim for that in the future. Make adjustments accordingly, while making sure each post is not too similar to the last! Every piece of content should be different from the last, with a consistent overall theme. For example, choose a color scheme to incorporate in every post, so your brand is established even in the content you put out!
